BIO

Originally from Mississippi, Beth received a degree in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi. She was hired by CNN in Atlanta and later transferred to their offices in New York where she worked while attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her qualms about this career change were allayed on the day of the AADA graduation when she was cast in the touring company of the off-Broadway hit The Taffetas. Beth quickly became acclimated to the life of a professional actress: flying first class from gig to gig, staying in 5-star hotels and opening for Ray Charles in top-flight venues.

In the following years she learned it ain't all 5-star hotels; sometimes it's no-star hotels, but it's the work that matters. Steady employment in the theatre and small films and TV was juggled with three years of writing for, and performing with, the “smart and edgy” (according to the N.Y. Post) Third Rail Comedy, the House Sketch Group for Gotham Comedy Club.

Beth's self-revealing one-woman show Impaled on a Magnolia, (co-written with playwright/lyricist Randy Buck) was critically acclaimed. Rex Reed, in The Observer insightfully reported that it was: “Clever and hilarious. Beth Glover is a formidable cross between Marilyn Monroe and Fannie Flagg.”

Beth was part of the Lucille Lortel Award Winning revival of the play Counselor-at-Law. In the same year she was nominated for an Innovative Theatre Award for her performance in the Looking Glass Theatre's production The Fall. She was part of the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Nominated Revival of Take Me Along at Irish Repertory Theatre in NYC in the role of Lily. Beth was voted Best Leading Actress in a Musical by The San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle for her portrayal of Edith Bouvier Beale and Little Edie Beale in the Regional Theatre Premiere of Grey Gardens at TheatreWorks of Palo Alto, California.

Most recent first national tours: All Shook Up as Mayor Matilda and Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella as the Wicked Step Mother, Madame. Most recent films: Immigration Tango and Beyond the Night.
