BIO
Adam Wachter is the Musical Director of the Olivier Award-winning Titanique at the Criterion Theatre. As a pianist and musical director, he has performed on Broadway and in countless theaters around the world, and the Hollywood Reporter called him a ‘breakout star’ for his music direction (and quips) on the Disney+ original series ‘Encore!’. Adam is also a composer/lyricist and the winner of the 2018 Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize, the 2021 MAC John Wallowitch Award, and the 2021 Professional Achievement Award from his alma mater, the University of Michigan. His musical Tarrytown won the San Diego Critics’ Circle Award for ‘Best New Musical’, was a finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award, and has had productions in New York, Tokyo, Las Vegas, and more. His original songs have been performed on CBS, Hulu, Bravo, S4C, BBC Radio Cymru, and the stages of Carnegie Hall, 54 Below, and the Savoy Theatre. Adam has taught musical theatre performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, LAMDA, and Point Park University, and is the author of ‘Your Rep Book: How To Find, Choose, and Prepare Successful Audition Songs’ (Bloomsbury/Methuen Drama).
