Quin Arts Exhibition 'And Suddenly The Picture Was Distorted' Launches July 12

The Quin hotel, located at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue, will debut the group exhibition '... and Suddenly the Picture was Distorted,' on July 12. Angelo Madrigale, VP/Director, Contemporary Art, Doyle, joins Quin Arts curator DK Johnston to deliver this exciting exhibition featuring works culled from notable private collections, as well as newer pieces obtained directly from the artists. The exhibition includes the work of Swoon, ROA, WK Interact, Nick Walker, John Fekner, Michael de Feo, and Blek le Rat. A special installation on the Quin's 15-foot video wall will feature the photography of Soren Solkaer.

The newest exhibition from Quin Arts, "In Bloom," launches May 10 at the Quin, located at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue. The group exhibition, co-curated by Quin Arts curator DK Johnston and New York-based curator Lori Zimmer, promises a very fresh take on floral-themed works to celebrate spring. Zimmer and Johnston have invited 29 artists to use their signature styles to create floral-themed pieces, for a light, airy and warm exhibition to pair with New York's most magical season.

The second edition of Art Wynwood, the Wynwood Art District's highly anticipated international contemporary art fair hosted by Art Miami LLC, closed its doors Monday, Feb. 18, following sales by more than 90 percent of participating galleries and more than 27,500 visitors - an increase of more than 4,000 from last year's inaugural fair. Once again the five-day fair was held during President's Day Weekend coinciding with the Yacht & Brokerage Show.
