THE SOUND OF MUSIC Global Tour - Second Season Launches in Shanghai, China. Broadway International Group and Broadway Asia are launching a second season of the international tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Now being performed at the Kauffman Center and concluding this weekend is a wonderful rendition by the Lyric Opera of Kansas City of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s final composition together, “The Sound of Music”  This production is as good as it gets. Framed by massive settings by Peter J. Davison and glorious costumes by Alex Valasek, “Sound of Music” is the incredible, mostly true tale of the Von Trapp family singers and their escape from the Nazis taken from the Matriarch Maria Von Trapp’s 1949 memoir.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre has announced that in 2024 it will be staging, for the first time, an exciting new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's beloved musical The Sound of Music.

MTW's pleasantly perky, traditionally-executed production comes across as a show that's very eager to please, armed with a keen, fine-tuned goal of making sure both fans and newbies to this beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein classic are left feeling uplifted and happy. The show continues through November 5 at the Carpenter Center in Long Beach.

One of musical theater’s most beloved offerings, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music is again brought to life by Studio Tenn in a lovely – and certainly crowd-pleasing – production through July 16 at Christ Presbyterian Academy’s Soli Deo Center, which marks the welcome return to the Nashville stage of director/choreographer Emily Tello Speck, who helms this production with her confident style and considered artistic vision.

Stolen Shakespeare Guild presents 'The Sound of Music', sponsored by Presidio, featuring music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, and suggested by 'The Trapp Family Singers' by Maria Augusta Trapp.

Seeing a show like Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound Of Music is nothing short of fulfilling. And, true to form, the exquisite John W. Engeman Theater brilliantly delivers this iconic musical.
