BIO

Sophie Rossman (She/her) is an NYC-based actor and theatre-maker. Recent credits include The Arden of Faversham (IRT Theater), Jonathan Journals Spontaneously Combusted (Clubbed Thumb), Family (La Mama ETC), Blood Brothers (Rehearsal for Truth Festival), The Seagull (The Clemente Soto Vélez) and A Lie of the Mind (American Theatre of Actors). Select film credits include Clare (SXSW 2022), The Awakening of Edwin Lorde, and Murder in Maplewood. Rossman trained at NYU Tisch (Stella Adler, ETW), as well as internationally at Tisch’s International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam and at Arthaus.Berlin’s Centre for Devised Theatre. Whether you've never seen Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic or you've seen it many times, Staples Players will take you on a new stroll through Any Town, USA, and right into the heart of what it means to be human. David Roth (SHS '84) and Kerry Long (SHS '97) co-direct Our Town, which will run in the Black Box Theatre at Staples High School from May 23 to May 26.
