Michael Kostroff Biography
Michael Kostroff is an established TV and stage actor, best known for his five seasons on HBO’s "The Wire," two seasons on Disney’s "Sonny with a Chance," and for a long list of TV credits that includes "The Good Wife," "The Blacklist," "Louie," "Elementary," "Blue Bloods," "Damages," "Luke Cage," "The Deuce," and more.He's done three national tours: "Les Miserables" (2003-04) (Thénardier), "Les Miserables" (25th Anniversary US Tour, 2010-11) (Thénardier), and "The Producers" (2001-02) (Ensemble, covering Max and Roger).
His regional theatre credits include "Can-Can," "Lend Me a Tenor," and "Les Misérables" for Paper Mill Playhouse, "Carnival" for Goodspeed Opera House, "The Cottage" for Theatre Aspen, "The Fox on the Fairway" at Flat Rock Playhouse, and seven productions of "The Producers." His Max Bialystock has earned him an LA Drama Critics Circle nomination and a Garland Award.
Kostroff is the author of "Letters from Backstage," and creator of the popular Audition Psych 101 workshop.
