Micah Elijah Johnson is a SAG-AFTRA actor with more than 25 years of experience spanning stage, film, and television. He is best known as the creator and star of On Sight, a SAG-AFTRA-signatory film and one-person show that blends comedy, drama, and lived experience to explore violence, mental health, and survival. The project is executive produced by DC Young Fly and has screened to sold-out audiences at major universities, theaters, and community venues nationwide.
Micah’s screen work includes appearances in television and film projects. He has worked on set alongside A-list talent, including Colin Farrell (Sugar), Jennifer Garner and Regina Hall (Five Star Weekend), Kathy Bates (Matlock), and Nathan Fillion and Sean Patrick Thomas (The Rookie). He has also played lead roles in the independent films Trick Mirror and Running Amidst.
On stage, Micah is an accomplished solo performer and playwright whose touring works include On Sight and Never Had a Friend. His performances have been presented at venues such as UCLA’s Lani Hall, the University of Florida’s University Auditorium, the Hippodrome Theatre, and the Challenger Learning Center, often accompanied by community discussions and engagement programs.
Micah is also a tenured professor of Family Medicine at UCLA, where his research focuses on trauma, behavioral health, and violence prevention. His academic expertise supports his acting career by strengthening the psychological realism and emotional truth of his performances and the stories he chooses to tell.
