The 24 Hour Plays has revealed this year's company for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.

The 24 Hour Plays will return to INTAR on Friday, October 28, the company has announced.

INTAR Theatre will collaborate with The 24 Hour Plays for a special edition of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues tonight on Instagram @intartheatre with additional behind the scenes content @24hourplays. Beginning at 6 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 11th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals are now open and will run through April 18, 2022. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in person in NYC for the first time since 2019.

 INTAR THEATER announced today that the award-winning off-Broadway theater company has presented its first Max Ferrá Director Fellowship to Itzel Ayala. The fellowship is in memory of INTAR’S founding Artistic Director and is intended to supply a major career boost and visibility for the recipient.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays, creators of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, The 24 Hour Musicals and the Viral Monologues, announced this year’s company for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, which will be held as a virtual program.

The inaugural season of Wayward Voices continues with a workshop presentation of “Black Mexican” by Rachel Lynett. New York-based artist Gineiris Garcia is partnering  with Lynett and taking the reins as the workshop's director.

Working Theater has announced the first recipients of the Mark Plesent Commission Fund, established to honor the legacy and vision of the Company's artistic leader of 27 years. The Fund, conceived with Mark Plesent before his passing in February 2021, will support commission and development of new plays by working people.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 10th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will be available starting March 24, 2021 and will run through April 11, 2021. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place virtually (for the second year in a row) and applicants from everywhere are engaged to apply. 

For the last week, the extraordinary company of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals have been participating in intensive workshops, panel discussions with industry leaders, and producing their own Viral Monologues - and their efforts will all culminate in their own LIVE virtual edition of The 24 Hour Plays, streaming TONIGHT at 8 PM ET.

INTAR Theatre today announced that the World Premiere engagement of Bundle of Sticks, a new play by J. Julian Christopher, directed by Lou Moreno played its final performance last night, Thursday March 12th. Bundle of Sticks had been scheduled to play through March 22nd. Ticket holders for remaining performances should contact their point of purchase.

Leading into the launch of the first reading next week, they are excited to announce members of the creative teams and a special partnership with citizenM Hotel.   Each Monday beginning in August, performers will bring Circle in the Square to life on its traditional dark night with The Circle Series.

The Off Broadway Alliance, an organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals announced the winners of the 9th Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2018-2019 season.

INTAR today announced the cast for the World Premiere of Julio Down by the Schoolyard, a new play by J. Julian Christopher, directed by Lou Moreno.Julio Down by the Schoolyard will play a special limited Off-Broadway engagement during World Pride/Stonewall 50, three performances only: Thursday June 27th, Friday June 28th, and Saturday June 29th all at 7pm.
