Lauren Gamiel

Lauren is a performer, writer, director and musician based in NYC. Her voiceover and motion capture work was featured at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival as a lead in the Riven video game remake; a project especially close to her heart. Other credits include off-broadway work in the longest running show at the SoHo Playhouse: Lighthouse the Musical. Lauren is a regular performer in the sketch, character and stand up comedy community of NYC, as well as an active director and coach, and is currently directing two solo comedy shows. You can catch her every month performing sketch comedy with her Boogiemanja house team, “Nothing Bagel”, at the PIT in NYC. Her solo show, One Single Thread, ran for a full run in the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Lauren studied improvisation and characters at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC after graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music (and a few other things). She then went on to study Acting through the Atlantic Acting School. She is a classical double-bassist who can hack it at jazz with enough notice, and is available for recording sessions, with strong references.
