Lacey Chabert

Lacey Chabert began her career as a child performer, appearing in television commercials before making her Broadway debut as young Cosette in Les Misérables in 1992–93. She rose to prominence as Claudia Salinger on the Fox drama Party of Five, a role she played from 1994 to 2000 and which earned her two YoungStar Awards.

Chabert made her feature-film debut as Penny Robinson in Lost in Space (1998), followed by roles in Not Another Teen Movie (2001) and the animated film Balto 2: Wolf Quest (2002). She gained wider recognition playing Gretchen Wieners in the comedy Mean Girls (2004), earning an MTV Movie Award with her co-stars for Best On-Screen Team. Her other film work includes Black Christmas (2006) and the animated film All I Want for Christmas Is You (2017). She has also provided extensive voice work, including Eliza Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys and Meg Griffin during the first season of Family Guy.

On television, Chabert has appeared in series including Baby Daddy, Ghost Whisperer and Party of Five, while becoming particularly associated with Hallmark productions. She starred in the Crossword Mysteries film series and numerous Hallmark Channel movies, including Sweet Carolina (2021), the Wedding Veil series and She's Making a List (2025). She also starred in the Netflix holiday film Hot Frosty (2024), which reached No. 1 on Netflix in its first week.

Beyond acting, Chabert has worked as an executive producer on projects including Sweet Carolina and Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, an unscripted Hallmark+ series that premiered in 2024. In 2023, she reunited with her original Mean Girls co-stars for a series of Walmart commercials. In 2026, she starred in the Hallmark movie Lost in Paradise as Sophia, a fashion company founder who becomes stranded on an island with a struggling chef following a private airplane crash.
