Joe Wong shares a new track featuring Mary Timony and announces his upcoming album release. The album from the Los Angeles-based, Milwaukee-raised musician, film + television composer (Midnight Gospel, Russian Doll, Master of None) and podcaster (The Trap Set with Joe Wong) also features early singles “Into Nothing” and “Waiting.”
The maximalist balladeer returns with the album's second single, “Waiting,” performed by Wong and featuring guitars and backing vocals from co-producer Mary Timony (Ex Hex, Helium, Wild Flag). “Waiting” will also appear on the upcoming Netflix animated show, Carol and the End of the World
He also shares the album's lead single, “Into Nothing,” co-produced with guitarist Mary Timony (Helium, Wild Flag). “Into Nothing” features a multitude of textures, from the opening funky bass line into psychedelia-laced indie pop with a mid-song drum breakdown courtesy of Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), followed by a horn-infused release.
On 'Ding Ding Delicious’, Daly provides vocals and saxophone and is joined by multi-instrumentalist Cyrus Gharemani (Man Man) plus a fantastic cast of musicians including Mary Timony (Helium, Ex Hex), Nick Thornburn (Islands), Colleen Green, Devendra Banhart, Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel), and his brothers Matt and Austin Daly.
