Darius-Anthony Robinson Biography
Born in Dallas,TX Darius-Anthony began his career at an early age professionally beginning his performing career at the age of 6. He attended Booker T. Washington High School for The Performing and Visual Arts where he studied Music and Dance. Upon completing high school Darius-Anthony attended various schools in both Dallas and New York and ended his college career at Southern Methodist University both in Dallas, TX. Over the years as a dancer he has served as a principle and ensemble dancer for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (Young Professionals Summer Intensive Program), was a guest clinician and dancer at Steps On Broadway in New York City as well as other dance troupes around the country. Mr. Robinson also has extensive training in vocal performance, having been trained in Classical and Jazz technique. "I am a singer by blood and a Dancer by bone". Some of his choreography credits include: Once Upon A Mattress (Runway Theatre), I Love A Piano (Artisan Center Theater), Urinetown: The Musical (Reparatory Company Theater), Broadway Revisited: A Broadway Revue (Malverone Players off –Broadway Theatre). Darius-Anthony was last seen as The Jester in Once upon A Mattress at Runway Theatre, Theatre Arlington and Theatre Three's production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Mitch Mahoney, Favorite roles include (but not limited to): Benny in Brookhaven Theatres' production of RENT, Tootie in Facts of Life: the Lost Episode with Uptown Players, and as Ren McCormack in Footloose at Garland Civic Theatre. Regional Theatre credits include: Uptown Players, Irving Community Theater, WaterTower Theatre, Dallas Children Theatre, Casa Mañana, Theatre Arlington, Dallas Summer Musicals, Garland Civic Theatre, Theatre Britain, Theatre Three, Artisan Centre Theatre, LifeStage Theatre.
