Television host Marc Summers will bring his interactive solo show, The Life And Slimes Of Marc Summers, to New World Stages next year. The production is written by Alex Brightman with music by Drew Gasparini.

Everyone's life has a story. And when you start from birth, most can be pretty interesting, although not worthy of the stage. Such a story of  a young boy from  Indiana born in 1951 is being told, but is it really that stage worthy?  The answer is a resounding yes, if that guy is Marc Summers, that charismatic game show and TV host extraordinaire.

Alleyway Theatre is kicking off its 44th season with a brand-new one-man play starring DOUBLE DARE host Marc Summers. THE LIFE AND SLIMES OF MARC SUMMERS is a guided tour through Marc's life, from an early obsession with magic to his notable television career to his appearance on Oprah announcing his ongoing battle with OCD. Marc stars in this tell-all about his life, his disorder, and taking the physical challenge.

Gretna Theatre will present their 96th season, including five mainstage productions and four Family Series presentations, all of which will take place this summer at Mt. Gretna Playhouse. Below are descriptions for the mainstage productions.

Miriam Weisfeld most recently served as Director of Artistic Development for the Tony-winning Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) & Adirondack Theatre Festival have announced the co-production of IN THE BOX ENTERTAINMENT, a series of live, interactive virtual experiences that entertain audiences from the comfort of their homes. All shows will include a box mailed to the ticket holder prior to the show, which will fuel their at-home, interactive experience. 

Timber Lake Playhouse, the professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois has announced their next virtual offering in a season where coming together at the theatre isn't possible. 'Our interactive virtual experiences began with the Virtual GALA last month,' said Dan Danielowski, TLP's Executive Director. 'These shows will continue to connect our audiences with TLP at a time when it's prudent to keep our real theatre doors closed.' TLP's next offering is Remote Control starring mentalist, Max Major, currently on America's Got Talent, in a hands-on-insane magic show.

Adirondack Film Festival, in its 5th year of operation (produced by the Adirondack Theatre Festival), has invented a new way to bring the film festival experience into patrons' homes. Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, has announced the world's first Film Festival in a Box, available Oct. 15-18, 2020.

Stage West is one of several theatres nationwide to offer In the Box Entertainment, a unique set of virtual experiences, created and produced by Adirondack Theatre Festival and Bloomington Playwrights Project, beginning September 10-12, and running through February 9-20, 2021.  

Adirondack Theatre Festival (ATF) & Bloomington Playwrights Project (BPP) Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, have announced an entire season of interactive virtual experiences beginning this September through February 2021.

A unique and interesting collection of more than 30 titles including clips, concerts, shorts, and full performances are made possible through the permission and generous support of ATF alumni playwrights and filmmakers. The content, you likely will not find elsewhere, will be available during the dates originally planned for ATF's 2020 summer season: June 12 - Aug. 7, 2020.

Adirondack Theatre Festival has released the following statement regarding the cancellation of their summer programming:

The Saratogian has reported that the Adirondack Theatre Festival is currently seeking ways to put on their season. The company's producing artistic director, Chad Rabinovitz, shared, 'If there is any way I can put on a season, that's what I intend to do...I owe it to our community and I owe it to our sponsors who have supported us...'
