Candy Spelling is an American author, philanthropist, and socialite. Born as Carole Gene Marer on September 20, 1945, in Beverly Hills, California, she is the daughter of Augusta Gene and Merritt Marer. She attended Beverly Hills High School and later graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Spelling is best known for being the widow of television producer Aaron Spelling, who was responsible for hit shows such as "Charlie's Angels," "Dynasty," and "Beverly Hills, 90210." The couple married in 1968 and remained together until Aaron's death in 2006. They had two children together, Randy and Tori Spelling, both of whom have also pursued careers in the entertainment industry.
In addition to her role as a wife and mother, Candy Spelling has made a name for herself as an author. She has written several books, including "Candyland," a memoir about her life with Aaron, and "Stories from Candyland," which chronicles her experiences as a mother and grandmother. She has also written a children's book, "Lulu Goes to Witch School," and a novel, "The Candy Chronicles."
Spelling is also known for her philanthropic work. She has donated millions of dollars to various charities and causes, including the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and the American Humane Association.
