BIO
Amia Korman (they/them) is a newly Chicago-based actor and recent graduate from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington. They were most recently seen as Éponine in Uptown Music Theater’s Les Misérables. Other favorite credits include Rapunzel (Into The Woods), Schwartzy (Spelling Bee), Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd). An award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Amia was recently named a Top 10 Finalist in the American Pops Orchestra NextGen National Vocal Competition. Offstage, Amia is a playwright & recording artist, releasing orchestral pop under the pseudonym Dolly In Slacks.

YES, VIRGINIA, a new musical by Colby Thompson, will undergo a private reading at The Rat NYC on March 28, 2026. The show, depicting a series of events leading to the iconic 1897 'Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus' editorial, features a cast led by JamesCache and Georgia VanRy.

The festival will also showcase staged readings of new plays by MFA playwriting candidates, Annalise Cain, and David Davila, several panels with esteemed guests, and Undergrad Shorts, an evening of short plays written by undergraduate playwrights.
