Arts on Site will present JANIS BRENNER, dancer/singer/actress, in the premiere of her one-woman show She Remembers her Amnesia, based on true stories, and set to a musical score by Jerome Begin. Three performances: November 9 at 8 PM and November 10 at 6:30 & 8:30 PM at Arts on Site. Evening performances will be followed by a Q&A session.

Together, they grounded the work's multi-disciplinary, hybrid structure with their various expertise along the spectrum of creative function. As a primer on post-modern movement built on a neo-classical ballerina and a musical marathon fusing classicism, romanticism, and modernism into a dense score, these artists triumphed despite navigating a heavily nuanced, deeply detailed construction.
Shen Wei To Receive 2020 Scripps ADF Award

The American Dance Festival (ADF) will present the 2020 Samuel H. Scripps/American Dance Festival Award for lifetime achievement to acclaimed choreographer Shen Wei. Established in 1981 by Samuel H. Scripps, the annual award honors choreographers who have dedicated their lives and talent to the creation of modern dance. Shen Wei will be in residence at ADF during the 2020 season working on his latest ADF commission set on ADF students. ADF Director Emeritus Charles L. Reinhart will present the $50,000 award in a brief ceremony on Thursday, July 23rd at 8:00pm, prior to the Footprints performance in Reynolds Industries Theater.
