BWW Blog: Taylor Kyes - The Magic of Disney
by Guest Blogger: Taylor Kyes - June 16, 2016
Growing up two hours from Disney World, I was heavily influenced by the Disney Parks and movies. I longed to be a Disney Princess: I wanted to take up my father's place in the army, get woken up with a kiss from my true love, rescue my father from the palace of a beast, or turn into a human and try to win the love of a prince.  The magic of Disney can be seen in every kid's eyes when they watch a movie, or visit a park, or even see a show. I still know all of the songs from every single movie by heart. My first ever musical was The Lion King, and I will never forget the magic and awe I experienced. One could say that it was Disney who brought me into the arts.

BWW Review: AVENUE Q Provides Humor, Acceptance, Community in Orlando's Difficult Days
by Matt Tamanini - June 14, 2016
It seems unimaginable that a single work of art can both hysterically mock and lovingly embrace some of our fondest childhood memories. However, as the 'AVENUE Q Theme Song' transitions into the first official song of the musical (one of modern musical theatre's most effective opening numbers) it becomes clear that this show is unlike anything that came before it, and that traditional musical theatre conventions, and easily offended sensibilities, should be thrown out the window.
BWW Blog: Taylor Kyes - Behind the Scenes
by Guest Blogger: Taylor Kyes - June 10, 2016
Being new to the theater world isn't easy, I haven't been in theater for long, and this is my first blog post for Broadway World (Yay!). There are so many different rules to learn, so many different traditions and practices. I only started singing in 9th grade, and nearly 2 years later I joined the Thespian society at my high school. I was thrown from a world of sports into a world of acting and singing, and I couldn't have made a better decision for myself.

by Matt Tamanini - June 08, 2016
Almost, Maine, the unincorporated village in the rural wilderness in New England's northernmost state, is a cute, quant town filled with residents that have each gone a teensy bit stir-crazy after years of snowed-in winters spent staring out at miles and miles of shimmering snow and sparkling stars. The result is a delightfully whimsical comedy by John Cariani, running through June 11th at TheatreUCF. Consisting of nine, metaphor-laden vignettes, we meet the eclectic, silly, neurotic, and adorable citizens of Almost, on their paths to finding, accepting, and letting go of love.

PB&J Theatre Factory Becomes Gromalot Theatre Factory
by BWW News Desk - June 03, 2016
PB&J Theatre Factory, which debuted at Orlando Fringe in 2007, is changing its name.  While PB&J has always produced shows intended for all audiences, it has never been the intention to be a theatre company that produces shows strictly for young audiences.  As the company makes efforts to take their shows outside of Orlando, it is clear that the popular assumption is that 'PB&J' implies shows geared strictly towards elementary age audiences.  PB&J wants to assure their beloved fans here at home in Orlando that though the name is changing, the heart of the company and the spirit of the shows will remain the same.
