The inaugural season of Gotham Stage Company's emerging playwright reading series will conclude on June 13th at 7pm at The Players Theatre in Greenwich Village with a reading of Carrie Barrett's ADAM & EMILY. The reading is being directed by Wes Grantom and will feature Jed Orlemann (Henry IV at Lincoln Center) and Alexandra Wilson (The Farnsworth Invention - Broadway) in the title roles.

ADAM & EMILY are a young married couple deeply in love, yet their devotion is challenged when the biggest threat to their marriage can no longer be ignored.
This play explores the limits of compromise and the complicated choices we make in the name of love.

Carrie is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern's MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage program where she studied under playwrights Rebecca Gilman, Laura Schellhardt and Douglas Post. Her play, The Burden of Not Having a Tail, was selected for the 2010 National Playwrights Conference at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center and The Fabulist was the 2009 recipient of Northwestern's Agnes Nixon New Play Award.

Free tickets may be reserved via the company's website at www.gothamstage.org
