Notice of Auditions for
2013 Richmond Shakespeare Festival at Agecroft Hall
AUDITIONS for Richmond Shakespeare's Summer Festival at Agecroft Hall will be held by appointment only on Saturday, February 23rd, 10am-8pm.

The two shows will be: A COMEDY OF ERRORS (director TBA) and OTHELLO (directed by Richmond Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Jan Powell). The Festival performances are outdoors at beautiful Agecroft Hall. The order of shows will be determined soon.

Show #1 begins rehearsal in late April, and runs June 14-July 7.

Show #2 begins rehearsal in late May and runs July 12-Aug 4.

The roles of Othello and Iago in OTHELLO will be pre-cast. All other roles in both shows will be cast from auditions. All roles paid.
Actors are asked to bring a headshot and resume, and to prepare two contrasting monologues, at least one of which is from a Shakespeare play. The other monologue may also be Shakespeare, or from any other type of play. The length of each speech is up to you, but the total time of both speeches together must not exceed three minutes.
