Auditions for Powerstories Theatre’s Voices of Women Theatre Festival, co-produced with Hillsborough College

Powerstories Theatre is holding auditions for a variety of plays to be performed as readings at Hillsborough College for the 2026 Voices of Women Theatre Festival.

Appointments are available on Wednesday, January 28, starting at 5 pm. They will be held at Hillsborough College at the YPAB - Ybor Performing Arts Building, 1411 E. 11th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605.

You will need to upload a headshot and resume to reserve an audition time.

Please prepare two 30-second monologues - one comic, one dramatic - that reflect your range as an actor. You may read these monologues as this audition is for readings, but we encourage you to be familiar with the material and make your reading engaging.

All genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

• The Tragic Ecstasy of Girlhood by Kira Rockwell, directed by Ivy Sunflower, is only accepting self-tape auditions.

Short Plays seeking actors:

• Black Barbie by Ashley Laster
• What about Ruth? by Charlene Dorsey

Student Directing Opportunities:

Students interested in directing opportunities are invited to stop by the auditions between 5 pm and 7 pm to drop off their resumes and meet producing teams.
