Beth Eastman, president of The Inn of Cape May and Aleathea's Restaurant is East Lynne Theater Company's honoree tonight, May 17 at the South Jersey Cultural Alliance's (SJCA) 17th Annual Paul Aiken Encore Awards Dinner at the Landis Theater in Vineland. East Lynne is a proud member of SJCA, and this event offers the opportunity for members to recognize those who graciously support arts organizations in eight South Jersey counties.

This year, thirty awards are expected to be bestowed, including the Alliance's own 2012 Lillian Levy Standing Ovation Award to Steve Runk for his dedication and years of service as President of the New Jersey State Council for the Arts and for his belief and commitment to the arts and the vital role they play in our state, our communities, our schools, our families and our personal lives.

Since 2008, Beth Eastman, the President of the Inn of Cape May and Aleathea's Restaurant, has supported East Lynne Theater Company's annual fundraiser by providing the use of Aleathea's, along with a three course meal, without charge, thus insuring a profit from these fundraising events. Since she was 16, Beth has worked in the hotel business, and her family has owned the Inn of Cape May and Aleathea's for 25 years; 20 of these with Beth at the helm. Aleathea's Restaurant partners with ELTC for patrons' savings for dinner and a show, and Beth has graciously lent period furniture to dress ELTC's sets.

The awards themselves are designed especially for this event by artists at Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center, and each is hand-made.

The Encore Awards, a cornerstone of the cultural community in southern New Jersey, will be held from 6:00 p.m.– 9:30 p.m. at the historic Landis Theater in downtown Vineland.

Entertainment will feature the Ocean Professional Theatre Company, Harmony Choir from Mainstage Center for the Arts, Vineland Regional Dance Company, The Ritz Theatre Company and Bay Atlantic Symphony.

The purpose of this elegant event is to increase community awareness of the region's vibrant arts, history and cultural organizations that contribute to the quality of life and economic revitalization of communities. It is an evening not to be missed, and black tie is optional.

Tickets are $80 if purchased before April 27. To join the award-winning East Lynne Theater Company, call us at 609-884-5898 or e-mail eastlynneco@aol.com.
