In this delicious romantic confection, Shaw's barbed wit targets themes of love, honor, and illusions, and serves up laughs aplenty at the foibles of human nature. New Hampshire Theatre Project's Youth Repertory Company will present Joseph Kesselring's macabre and hilarious comedy, Arsenic & Old Lace, on May 16-25. Directed by Robin Flower, this delightful script has been entertaining audiences since 1939. Arsenic & Old Lace is the zany story of Mortimer Brewster, his brother who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt, and his adorable two aunts who have a knack for charity work (or murder by another name). With eleven bodies in the cellar and one in the window seat - and a feisty fiancee who is determined to marry him no matter how crazy his family is - Mortimer experiences the worst night of his life. Throw in older brother, Jonathan, currently on the run from the law, his drunk plastic surgeon, Dr. Einstein, and a slew of other madcap characters, and Arsenic & Old Lace is guaranteed to tickle every funny bone.

Dorks in Dungeons, the award-winning fantasy comedy improve troupe has announced their second Tavern Quest. Tavern Quest is a live action roleplaying event in the vein of the Dorks in Dungeons stage show, only this time guests are encouraged to come in-character and participate in the adventure. The Dorks will be taking over The Stone Church in Newmarket and once again turning it into The Gaye Bugbear, the iconic, multidimensional tavern from their live comedy show. Guests will be pitted against each other in various competitions, with the winner being forever enshrined in the Dorks in Dungeons mythology.

Today, April 17-20, Pontine Theatre presents Shakespeare's Will performed by guest artist, Tannis Kowalchuk. The production is underwritten by Piscataqua Savings Bank. Anne Hathaway married William Shakespeare in 1582, raised their children, and buried her husband in 1616. The rest of their 32 years of marriage is one of literary history's great mysteries. This mystery provides a dark and comedic playground for this beautiful and lyrical solo performance piece written by Vern Thiessen.
