Raining Soup Productions is no stranger to the New England entertainment scene and is about to make the leap to the stage with their original play "The Interview." It runs August 15th - 24th at the Players' Ring in Portsmouth, NH.

On the night that Felix and Monty arrive in the same city, for the same job interview, at the same comic book company they find that the car service that was supposed to pick them up a the airport hasn't shown, their promised hotel accommodations have not been made and the comic book company's phone-line has been disconnected.

With less money than answers the artists have nothing to do but convene at their hotel bar and wait until morning. To pass the time they discuss work, share drinks and (as blood alcohol levels rise) divulge their darkest secrets- one of which regards the strange and mysterious circumstances of their current travels.

This production draws on Raining Soup's previous comedic and dramatic strengths while taking advantage of the intimate atmosphere at the Player's Ring to get the audience up close and personal with the characters, the wit and the suspense.

Prior to their partnership with The Players' Ring, Raining Soup enjoyed a healthy presence in the Seacoast film and video community. Their short film "Vanilla" was an official selection at the Maine International Film Festival, MIFF By The Sea and The New England Online Film Festival in 2013 and their music video "James: Gilmore: That Ain't Me" was an official selection at the Maine International Film Festival in 2014. Raining Soup founder Mike Robida was also the man responsible for those comedic movie reviews on WCSH6 and WLBZ2.

The show is written and directed by Mike Robida, produced by Arielle Todd and hosts a talented cast of Seacoast natives that includes Tomer Oz, Trevor Lippincott, Tatiana Brown and Nicky Mandiola.

"The Interview" contains strong language including sexual references.
