Curt Wollan and Troupe America Inc., the producer of the national hit musical comedy series, Church Basement Ladies, announce the ladies return to the Plymouth Playhouse in an all-new musical comedy The Last (Potluck) Supper. This will be the fifth installment in the successful series previewing today, August 1, 2, 3, 4, 7,8 opening August 9 and continuing through February 23, 2014.

Theater Accident, in association with Blue Coyote Theater Group, announces that THE ZEBRA SHIRT OF LONELY CHILDREN, written and performed by Minnesota native Matthew Trumbull and directed by Matthew Freeman, will make its Midwest premiere at the 2013 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Both a 'Critic's Pick' and part of Fringe NYC's Encore Series, Zebra Shirt won the Overall Excellence-Solo Performance Award at the 2012 Festival.

MADE HERE, an innovative, new initiative led by Hennepin Theatre Trust as part of the Hennepin Cultural District, is being launched in Block E to showcase the work of Minnesota artists through eclectic, temporary visual art displays in downtown storefronts. The program utilizes art to energize the Cultural District and promote leasable space in a new light to potential tenants.

This summer, TigerLion Arts (TLA) has its paws in two shows to be produced as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival, tonight, August 1 - 11, 2013. THE COSMIC EQUATION = 2 Wives + 2 Husbands ÷ Adventure! is a collaboration with Adventurer Press in which two smart Wives escape from their two ignorant Husbands in search of adventure. What if I'm Dead?, produced by TigerLion Arts, is a highly physical solo show in which Red Nose Clown Bartholomew (New York comedian Alan Fessenden) stages his own funeral.

Tedious Brief Productions proudly presents The Final Act, an Elizabethan noir thriller that tells the true (well, partially true) story of the death of playwright Christopher Marlowe, contemporary of William Shakespeare. The Guthrie Theater today announced additional performances for its production of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award winner Clybourne Park-a powerhouse contemporary satire about race and gentrification during the past half century in America written by Bruce Norris. The additional performances are Sunday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. Penned in response to Lorraine Hansberry's classic A Raisin in the Sun, Clybourne Park has sparked conversation and dialogue across America wherever it has played. Lisa Peterson(Guthrie: Major Barbara, Oedipus) directs this biting American story at the Guthrie after last year's lauded production of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
