STEERAGE SONG Adds 10/19 Matinee

Due to sellout shows and standing ovations, an extra performance of STEERAGE SONG has been added on Saturday October 19th at 3:00PM.

In the greatest wave of immigration in world history, Europeans left their homelands and sailed for America packed into the dark steerage of steamships. They carried few possessions but a wealth of hope, chutzpah and music. They spilled out onto Ellis Island and into the fertile squalor of New York's Lower East Side, a breeding ground for American Popular Song. Five years in the making, creators Peter Rothstein and Dan Chouinard have woven the melodies of old Europe and the new rhythms of Tin Pan Alley into a profoundly moving, original musical.
