Lyric Arts' IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE Sells Out

The Lyric Arts holiday show It's a Wonderful Life has sold out for the remainder of its run. The show's opening night was November 15th, and it opened to big crowds and full seats. Seats sold out early for this show, and many attendees have given it rave reviews.

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for Mark St. Germain's two-hander Freud's Last Session-an astute comedy about an imagined meeting between Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis that balances intellectual depth with humor and compassion. Rob Melrose (Guthrie: The Acting Company's Julius Caesar, Happy Days and Pen) returns to direct the production that begins performances on February 25 and continues through March 16, 2014.

Sel Kardan, President and CEO of The Colburn School, announced today the establishment of The Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices at the Colburn School. Los Angeles philanthropist Marilyn Ziering has made the Initiative possible with a generous $1 million gift to Colburn. The Initiative builds upon the Recovered Voices project at LA Opera, established to support conductor James Conlon's long-term commitment to bring attention to the works of important composers whose music was suppressed during the Nazi years in Europe.
