Millie, Madge's younger sister, is an incredibly creative, artistic woman worried that her looks are something that no one seems to see. On Labor Day weekend, a handsome drifter with a troubled past wanders into a small Kansas town. His unexpected presence and animal vitality stir up some long buried emotions amongst the women of this once peaceful community, starting a chain reaction that causes Madge to consider gambling her potential marriage for a chance at true love with a rebellious and sensitive stranger.

This ASL-interpreted show will be on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 5pm and will take place at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Ave in downtown Minneapolis.

History Theatre will once again partner with the Minnesota History Center to present four staged readings of new scripts that are currently being developed by Minnesota artists. This year's RAW STAGES New Works Festival will include a revised script by Eric 'Pogi' Sumangil about Minnesota's Filipino community (Debutante Ball), along with three newly commissioned scripts from Carlyle Brown (Boundary Waters), Jeffrey Hatcher and Chan Poling (Glensheen), and Garrison Keillor (Radio Man).
