Minnesota Dance Theatre features the choreography of acclaimed dancers Martine Van Hamel, American Ballet Theatre and Adam Hendrickson, New York City Ballet to Twin Cities audiences, embracing contemporary aesthetics through the art of the Pas de Deux. Van Hamel's lyrical Trio á Deux, set to Beethoven's String Trio in G Major, balances Hendrickson's quick paced duet TrapHer KeepHer: 2nd Movement, to Verdi's String Quartet in E Minor. Also in the program will be Toccata in D Minor by Alonzo King (LINES Ballet), as well as Diabolus signature Pas de Deux by MDT founder Loyce Houlton. World Premiere
Where's the mystery in ordinary? Distinctly MDT, the dancers play in moods of containment in Frames/d, a new work by Artistic Director Lise Houlton to the music of Mozart, mostly. Dancers: Jeremy Bensussan, Katie Deuitch, Amanda DeVenuta, Sam Feipel, Pierre Guilbault*, Raina Gilliland, Kaitlyn Gilliland*, Stephen Hanna*, Helen Hatch, Katie Johnson, Justin Leaf, Sophia McCoy**, Juliet Prine**, and Branden Reiners.
