City Theatre invites kids of all ages to come see SHORTS 4 KIDS at the Main Library in Ft. Lauderdale, July 17 &18, 2013. Performances are free and open to the public and will take place Wednesday July 17 at 1pm and 5pm and Thursday July 18 at 11am and 1pm at 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale.

The Board of Directors for the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) has announced plans for a major fundraising event to be sponsored by and held at the L'Auberge Resort in St. Charles, Louisiana. The fundraiser, which will include a special appearance by the Bandit himself will be a three day whirlwind of fun. In the planning stages are a Burt Reynolds Poker Tournament, a golf tournament and a lavish evening gala celebrating Reynolds and his 55+ year career.

Man of La Mancha, the beloved musical that follows the adventures of the eternally optimistic, Don Quixote, launches the summer season atPalm Beach Dramaworks on Wednesday July 10 (8PM), the first of two shows to be presented in concert as part of the Musical Theatre Masters Series. Man of La Mancha plays a limited engagement through July 21 at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production is directed by Clive Cholerton, with musical direction by Caryl Fantel. Stephen Sondheim's Company follows from August 7 through August 18.
