The 2010-2011 Bay Street Players Dolly Award winners were announced during the 36th Annual Dolly Award event, "Night of the Stars." The "black-tie requested" event took place Saturday evening August 6, 2010 at the Historic State Theatre in Eustis.
The Dolly Awards - so named because the first show presented by the Bay Street Players was "Hello Dolly" - is fashioned after classic award ceremonies such as Broadway's Tony Awards. The evening celebrated the close of the most successful season in the history of Bay Street Players and it featured highlights and presenters from the 36th Season as well as live entertainment snapshots of what is to come in the 37th Season. In addition to the best actor awards, others were honored for outstanding contributions made during the season.Mayor Michael Holland, presented Bay Street Players with a Proclamation from the City of Eustis inviting ..."the citizens of Eustis, to join us in expressing our appreciation to the many members of Bay Street Players and Bay Street Players Young People's Theatre, both past and present, who have contributed their talents and artistry for the benefit and pleasure of our community. Further, we should recognize the many people whose lives have been touched and forever changed through their association with one or both of these theatrical groups."PLAY
