Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Kansas City North proudly presents Godspell, Thursday, April 7 - Sunday, April 10 at YouthFront Auditorium, 4715 Rainbow Blvd., Shawnee Mission, KS 66205.

The cast of the show includes youth from many areas of the metro including Kansas City, Holt, Smithville, Leawood, Liberty, Overland Park, Lee's Summit, Grandview, Raymore, Parkville, Shawnee, Gladstone, Olathe, Platte City, Farley, Weston, and Greenwood. This mix of kids from the north, south, east and west areas of the city is possible due to CYT's multiple locations throughout the metro area, a facet unique to CYT in the area of theater arts programs for youth in Kansas City. In addition to CYT's reach throughout Kansas City, this program is a part of a national organization in 20 cities in the United States and Canada, something no other youth theater program in Kansas City can claim.

Godspell, a production from Stephen Schwartz who also composed Wicked, uses street rhythms, modern dance and powerful music to bring the stories of the New Testament to life in a fresh, innovative way. This show is a must-see performance for theater and music lovers as well as all Christians throughout the metro area.

On Saturday, April 9 CYT will be a special youth group event prior to the 2pm show. This special event will include a pre-show worship and fellowship, as well as a performance by our improve performance group.

More information can be found at our website at www.cytkc.org or by calling the CYT Box Office at 913.681.3318.

CYT productions feature youth ages 8-18 in high quality presentations of your favorite shows! CYT is the largest youth theater in the nation with locations throughout the metro Kansas City area in Gladstone, Lee's Summit and Overland Park. CYT is expanding to Shawnee in the fall of 2011.
