Lightwire Theater brings a classic tale to the modern stage in an unforgettable theatrical experience.
Lined with electroluminescent wire, the beloved story of “The Ugly Duckling” plays out on stage through a cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology, and dance. With dazzling visuals, poignant choreography and the creative use of music, ranging from classical to pop, this production brings the well-known story into a brilliant new light.
The Midwest Trust Center will present THE UGLY DUCKLING by Lightwire Theater in Yardley Hall. The spring lineup also includes performances by Uncle Jumbo and StoneLion Puppet Theatre. Events will take place in April and May.
Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will headline the Winterlude Jazz Festival at Johnson County Community College's Midwest Trust Center this March.
