I play the character of Goli. She's the youngest character in the play; she's 18. For Goli specifically, her relationship to English is really sweet. She's described as this young, sweet spirit in the classroom. She's just carefree and has fun....

In this interview, Brown reflects on what drew him to the production, his approach to playing Noah, and why this thoughtful, unflashy play feels especially resonant right now....

But I'd have to say, as far as the scores, I probably like ON A CLEAR DAY. I love the songs, from ON A CLEAR DAY, which was not anywhere near as big a hit as those other shows were....

We're a crazy cast of acrobats, and of course, animals, and circus performers, and me, I play a woman named Barbara, who is the head of the “Cooch Tent,” the more promiscuous ladies of the circus....

The play touches on a lot of things, obviously immigration, but the title, REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES, it's also, all of these women are either fat, or just not thin, or not this conventional, small-bodied woman, right?...

KNOW THE PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME is a show that was born out of disaster, catastrophe, and a feeling of being at a place where I couldn't go on the way that I had been going on......

When you set out to create something, a piece of theater, you don't say to yourself, I'm gonna create something universal that everybody's gonna relate to. You just write what you know; you write your own story, and we found that the specifics of our quirky little union became universal....

'I went to school, did a couple of cruise ships, and then I moved to New York with two bags and a tube of Chapstick, and I've lived there for 15 years now. Which makes me official, I think.'...
