Jack, his former wife Judy, and her famous poet father Howard relate the story of an authoritarian country which has targeted its cultural intelligentsia for imprisonment and execution. Shawn's 1996 cautionary tale feels more and more prophetic, challenging us to consider how far we are willing to go in service of our most deeply held beliefs in an increasingly dangerous world.
