Momentum Dance is at 5300 W Arkansas Lane, Suite 116, in Arlington, Texas. It was opened in 2008 by Arlington native Jennifer Gilmore Foley with the aim of giving local students a place to develop their dancing in a fun, morally sound environment, and has since become a familiar name in the DFW dance community. The studio describes itself as technique-focused, offering multiple genres and levels with recreational, pre-competitive and competitive tracks for dancers aged two through eighteen, and classes for adults as well. Subjects taught are ballet, tap, jazz, technique, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and pointe. Momentum emphasises a family-friendly atmosphere with age-appropriate costumes and choreography, and says its staff encourage and celebrate each individual dancer's development.
