Leading Men Rotate Roles in The Firehouse Theatre's OF MICE AND MEN

John Steinbeck's American literature classic, Of Mice and Men has been brought to life in a dramatic stage play opening soon at The Firehouse Theatre. Set in California during the Great Depression, the story follows two migrant workers George, a sharp but uneducated, short-tempered man, and Lennie, a large but simple-minded man. Together they hope to one day acquire their own piece of land. But when Lennie stirs up trouble on the job, George must choose between protecting his friend or staying the course towards his version of the American dream.
Dnaworks Will Present Events At Texas Christian University To Discuss Equity, Access, And Opportunity Through Performance And Community Dialogue

DNAWORKS presents a series of events on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) between October 9 and 23 that highlights the relationship and impact that the arts can play in social justice and equity work. Events of this residency range from a TCU Community Leaders Workshop to a multimedia dance performance, concluding with a Community Town Hall Meeting. The College of Fine Arts' newly formed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Arts Programming Committee provided funding for this residency.
Texas Christian University To Celebrate Leonard Bernstein

Texas Christian University's (TCU) School of Music at the Bass presents Celebrating Leonard Bernstein - a vibrant, commemorative performance of Bernstein's timeless compositions at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Bass Performance. The TCU Symphony Orchestra will join the TCU Concert Chorale and distinguished alumni soloists for an evening featuring a celebratory curation of Bernstein's acclaimed works, including the Overture to Candide, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Chichester Psalm and more. The tribute performance is part of a worldwide movement, Leonard Bernstein at 100 - a two-year global celebration of the life and career of the 20th century cultural giant, featuring more than 2,500 events on six continents.

Fort Worth Opera (FWO) proudly announced today the news that legendary Mexican ensemble Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan will be prominently featured in the company's 2019 production of El Pasado Nunca se Termina (The Past is Never Finished). Called "The Best Mariachi in Jalisco," this phenomenal group from Guadalajara, Mexico, was founded in 1965 by Jose 'Pepe' Martinez, the late director of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, and his brother Fernando Martinez.
