In accordance with Governor Gavin Newsom's directive and the guidelines issued by the California Department of Public Health to postpone or cancel all gatherings that include 250 people or more, Segerstrom Center for the Arts is canceling performances through the remainder of March.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is celebrating International Women's Month on Saturday, March 21 on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza with a FREE event where you can meet inspiring female creators and indulge your own DIY spirit at Rock, Paper, Scissors: ¡DAMAS! Live music pulsating from the Argyros Plaza stage will provide an energetic soundtrack to inspire your creativity. The pop-rock sisters of the Sledge Grits Band will kick off the afternoon, followed by Go Betty Go and their punk rock, rough and tumble sound. Between sets, join us for an open forum conversation with several prominent SoCal women artists and innovators about creativity and what drives them. Try your hand at some art of your own with a colorful mixed media collage workshop led by local artist Trinh Mai. And don't forget to stop by the Segerstrom Center booth and create a pin with our special button-making machine! While you take a break from art-making, enjoy drink specials and tasty bites from George's Café.
Stephen Milenkovich to Replace Elissa Lee Koljonen In Performance with Pacific Symphony Chamber Orchestra

Due to personal reasons, Elissa Lee Koljonen has withdrawn from the Sunday, April 5, 2020 concert with Pacific Symphony Chamber Orchestra. Replacing Koljonen will be acclaimed violinist Stefan Milenkovich. The original program is scheduled to be performed and includes Ticheli's Rest, for String Orchestra, a piece of fragile beauty and quiet dignity, and Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61, considered to be his most lyrical work, and the only concerto he wrote for one of the most popular instruments of his day: the violin.

Based on the 1929 novella by German writer Erich Kästner, Emil & the Detectives explores the value of friendships, taking risks and the empowerment of young people.

Ailey II Will Kick Off LA International Dance Festival at Segerstrom Center

Segerstrom Center for the Arts and the Los Angeles International Dance Festival (LAIDF) will present Ailey II - The Next Generation of Dance on April 11, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall as part of the festival's inaugural year. Ailey II, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's junior company that serves as a bridge between The Ailey School and the professional dance world, is universally renowned for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most promising emerging choreographers. The acclaimed 12-member ensemble makes its first appearance at the Center performing three works from the company's rich repertory including Road to One (2017) by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Where There Are Tongues (2018) by Ailey School alum and former Ailey II dancer Bradley Shelver as well as Breaking Point (2017) by Renee McDonald.
UCI Drama Examines Motherhood, Inequality and Humanity in Lisa Loomer's LIVING OUT

UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) will present Lisa Loomer's Living Out, a comic drama focused on immigration and working mothers. The show is directed by Jane Page, head of the directing program at UCI, and will be presented in the intimate Robert Cohen Theatre. The play opens on Saturday, March 7, with matinee and evening performances through Sunday, March 15, 2020.

To celebrate the arrival of the hit Broadway show A BRONX TALE March 10 - 22, Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Maggiano's Little Italy at South Coast Plaza have partnered for A Family Feast: Dinner and a Show with A Bronx Tale. The dinner and a show package includes one orchestra terrace ticket for either Friday evening performance of A BRONX TALE (March 13 & 20) in addition to a family-style meal (menu attached) and a glass of wine. Dinner is from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the restaurant with 7:30 p.m. performance time at Segerstrom Hall.
Segerstrom Center's Disney Musicals In Schools Student Showcase Announced

Today, Segerstrom Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its 2020 FREE Disney Musicals in Schools student share performance, hosted by Kayla Cyphers, who stars as Nala in The North American Tour of Disney's The Lion King. On Wednesday, March 11 at 5:00pm, 200 elementary school students from Arthur F. Corey Elementary (Buena Park), Garfield Elementary (Santa Ana), Frank Vessels Elementary (Cypress), and Sycamore Elementary (Orange) will sing and dance their way through scenes from Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS and Aladdin KIDS in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Disney Musicals in Schools is designed to help Orange County public elementary schools create sustainable musical theater programs.

Cal State Fullerton's Department of Theatre & Dance kicks off its Spring slate of productions in March when Charlotte Brontë's most famous and beloved literary heroine comes to life in 'Jane Eyre: The Musical.' With a book by John Caird, music and lyrics by Paul Gordon, direction by James R. Taulli, and musical direction by Corey Hirsch, the play runs March 13-29 in the Little Theatre on campus.
