35th Annual Israel Film Festival to Honor Henry Winkler

The 35th ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli cinema and television in North America, will honor acclaimed actor/director/producer/author Henry Winkler with the 2022 IFF Career Achievement Award and real estate/philanthropist David Wiener with the 2022 IFF Humanitarian Award on April 29th during the Festival’s annual sponsor luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills.  The event serves as the launch of this year’s Festival which will take place May 5th – 26th both in-person and online, announced Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Israel Film Festival.

Spring is here and so are our upcoming events on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. Since opening in October 2017, Segerstrom Center has welcomed over 100,000 visitors to Argyros Plaza and hosted over 360 free and low-cost events. This Spring will feature a variety of fun and familiar favorites, and brand new events including Tuesday Night Dance: K-pop (April 5, 12, 19 & 26), Garden Party on the Plaza (April 23), Tuesday Night Dance: Bollywood (May 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31), and Plaza Prom (May 28).
Emerson String Quartet Returns To Segerstrom Center For The Arts

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents the Emerson String Quartet on Thursday, May 5 at the Samueli Theater. The Emerson String Quartet features Eugene Drucker, violin, Philip Setzer, violin, Lawrence Dutton, viola, and Paul Watkins, cello. The program includes Mozart K. 589; Bartok No. 1; and Beethoven Op. 132. A preview talk with Dr. Byron Adams at 7:15pm.
