Shadowbox Students Participate In Boot Camp For METRO ROCKS THE BOX 5/3

With just one week until their combined event, Shadowbox and Metro Early College High School are in the thick of rehearsals for Metro Rocks the Box, a one-night-only sketch comedy and rock ‘n' roll show that features the students performing alongside Shadowbox professionals on the Shadowbox stage at the Easton Town Center.

Poncho Sanchez learned from the masters. As a youngster, he played alongside Cal Tjader, Claire Fisher, and Mongo Santamaria. Now as a bandleader for almost two decades, he has unswervingly preserved a bedrock style of Afro-Cuban Latin jazz pioneered half a century ago by his heroes, while infusing it with his own fresh and engaging interpretations.
