PLAYHOUSE SOUTH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AIDS RESOURCE CENTER OHIO CONTINUES ITS 50 TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON WITH THE REGIONAL PREMIERE OF Jonathan Larson'S MUSICAL HIT RENT
Playhouse South in partnership with the AIDS Resource Center Ohio (ARC) announces performances for the regional premiere of Jonathan Larson's multi-award winning sensation, RENT.
Performances are February 26-28, March 5-7 and March 12 & 13, 2010. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinee at 2:00 pm.
Based loosely on Puccini's opera La Boheme, the rock musical Rent follows a year in the lives of a group of friends living the disappearing Bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village. AIDS functions in each character's life as a forceful reminder of mortality, futility and uncertainty, but also as an inspiration for strength through optimism, friendship, humor and enthusiasm for embracing the day.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7 for students. For reservations, please visit www.playhousesouth.org or call the box office at 888-262-3792.
Please note this show contains adult situations and language. A portion of the proceeds from the production will be donated to ARC Ohio.
