Brewed Roots Festival Brings Music, Beer to Downtown Canton 9/2

Buzzbin Magazine, ArtsinStark, Legends Sports Pub & Grille and Ohio Brewing Company will present the Brewed Roots Music Festival on Friday, September 2nd in Canton, OH. The festival showcases the best in local and regional musical talent and beer and food vendors are on hand to ensure you won't have to miss a note. Admission is free of charge.

"We wanted to put on a big show to highlight some of the terrific performers who have worked with our magazine over the years," said Buzzbin owner Michael Nasvadi. "When we started planning Brewed Roots we put out our feelers to the local bands and received such a huge response that we'll have two stages running all day- one on (Canton's) 4th St. (which will be closed for the night) and one inside the neighboring Buzzbin Art & Music Shop. Great bands, lots of beer, good people- this will be a night to remember."

At least 16 musical acts have confirmed, including local talents Shivering Timbers, the Misery Jackals, the Most Beautiful Losers and more. As the name implies, Brewed Roots spans the musical palette of Americana, from alt-country and bluegrass to punk-folk and rock. And rest assured, as the evening progresses the acoustic guitars will be stowed away in favor of electrics and the amps will start to get louder.

In addition to the music, Brewed Roots also features food from the renowned Green establishment Legends Sports Pub & Grille, award-winning beers from Akron-based Ohio Brewing Company and other vendors along 4th St.

The Brewed Roots Festival is Friday, September 2nd, 2011 and is located in downtown Canton, OH on 4th St. SW between Cleveland and Dewalt Aves., adjacent to the Buzzbin Magazine Art & Music Shop in the heart of the Canton Arts District. Music starts at 3:30 and runs until midnight. Beer and vendors will be on hand and the festival is free to the public.
