Homestead on the Roof - a literal farm-to-table restaurant - will host a four-course "Summer Harvest Celebration Dinner" with Perennial Virant and Vie chefs starting at 6pm on Tuesday, July 8.

Homestead On The Roof's executive chef Chris "Chip" Davies, pastry chef Chris "Tex" Teixeira, and beverage director Patrick Henaghan will collaborate on the dinner with Perennial Virant and Vie executive chef Paul Virant, Perennial Virant chef de cuisine Ed Sura, Vie chef de cuisine Dan Compton, and Perennial Virant and Vie pastry chef Elissa Narrow.

Tickets for the "Summer Harvest Celebration Dinner" cost $75 per guest and include hors d'oeuvres and an opening cocktail, four courses each paired with alcoholic beverages, and mignardises along with takeaways. The price of the ticket also includes tax and gratuity. There are only 70 seats available for the collaboration dinner and tickets must be purchased in advance at http://homesteaddinner.eventbrite.com

The rundown of each of the chefs' courses are:

Hors d'oeuvres: Perennial Virant and Vie executive chef Paul Virant
Opening cocktail: Homestead beverage director Patrick Henaghan
First Course: Vie chef de cuisine Dan Compton
Second Course: Homestead executive chef Chris "Chip" Davies with accompanying breads from Homestead pastry chef Chris "Tex" Teixeira
Third Course: Perennial Virant chef de cuisine Dan Compton
Fourth Course: Perennial Virant and Vie pasty chef Elissa Narrow
Mignardises & Takeaways: Homestead pastry chef Chris "Tex"Teixeira
Hors d'oeuvres and Henaghan's opening cocktail will be from 6pm until 7pm. The four-course collaboration dinner starts at 7pm.

The collaboration dinner will take place on Homestead's rooftop patio which sits next to its 1,000 square foot organic rooftop garden, two massive vertical hanging gardens, and dozens of planter boxes all filled with vegetables, fruits, and herbs. If the weather does not cooperate, the collaboration dinner take place in Homestead's indoor air-conditioned indoor enclosed second story space.

Guests attending the collaboration dinner will enter Homestead via Roots Handmade Pizza located at 1924 West Chicago Avenue and will be guided upstairs.
