Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, is proud to present Chicago Tap Theatre’s Unleash the Beats, Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. Under the dynamic direction of internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Mark Yonally, Chicago Tap Theatre takes tap dance to the next level of creativity and innovation. The show features live music and original choreography, along with the works of Buster Brown, Eddie Brown, Bill Evens and classic tap pieces such as the BS Chorus and the Shim Sham. Chicago Tap Theatre brings its signature blend of rhythm, artistry, and storytelling to the stage. Known for technical virtuosity and musical flair, this vibrant company transforms tradition into celebration. Through performance, education, and community engagement, Chicago Tap Theatre invites audiences of all ages to experience the joy and power of Tap Dance. Tickets are $59 - $74 ($20 for children and students) and may be purchased by calling 708.235.2222 or visiting CenterTickets.net. Patrons may also make purchases at the box office.
