A film adaptation of Peter Morgan's play, Patriots is in the works. Morgan will take a break from his work on The Crown to focus on the film. 

When the phantom took over 44th Street, some changes were made to the theatre's facade, including iconic black bricks surrounding its entrance and an all-black paint job for  the marquee. Now the marquee has been restored to its former color and you can check out photos here.

Broadway veteran Jason Danieley has just announced his marriage to longtime partner Andrea Nunes.

Jose Llana will now be playing the role of Thomas Andrews in Encores! Titanic, replacing his Here Lies Love costar Conrad Ricamora. Ricamora will reprise his role in the Broadway transfer of Oh, Mary!, which is set to begin performances on June 26 at the Lyceum Theatre.

Cambridge University Press has recently released the rediscovered script for the 1926 Broadway production of The Great Gatsby. Long before the current musical adaptation, F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel came to the stage for the first time in 1926, playing at the Ambassador Theatre, which currently houses Chicago. The production, directed by filmmaker George Cukor (My Fair Lady) was successful, playing for 112 performances in New York before a national tour and later, a film.

BroadwayWorld has learned that a production of Meredith Willson's The Music Man will tour across the United States beginning January 2026. The new production will be produced by Big League Productions.
