WallByrd Theatre Reschedules Opening Night Of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF

Due to a serious illness with a cast member in this four-person play, the opening night of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF has been postponed until Saturday, November 3rd.  Ticket holders for the November 1st and 2nd performances may reschedule for another performance or receive a refund.  Those ticket holders will be notified via email on how to request an exchange or refund.
RLTP Announces Screenplay Reading Fundraiser in 2019

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP)is excited to announce its new annual fundraiser, Screen to Stage,a public screenplay reading series.  The annual series will kick-off Saturday April 6thwith a reading of 1987's iconic The Princess Bride.  The Princess Bride, a screenplay by William Goldman, will star RLTP Ensemble members Barry Williams, Kristen Tripp Kelley, Matt Witten, Anthony Alcocer, Lisa Vitrano, Jimmy Janowski, Bob Grabowski, Dave Mitchell and Doug Zschiegner alongside Cassie Cameron, Brian Mysliwy and Ben Mora.  The Princess Bride will be directed by RLTP Artistic Director Scott Behrend and RLTP Ensemble member Katie Mallinson.
ART Returns To The Loft

In American Repertory Theater of WNY's inaugural season, the company found a perfect theatrical space to operate two of the three shows slated in the 2007-08 season. Working out of the TheaterLoft (545 Elmwood Avenue), home to the acclaimed and diverse Ujima Theatre Company, ART/WNY presented two works WHEN YA COMING BACK, RED RYDER, by Mark Medoff, and Tennessee William's THE ROSE TATTOO (which earned the company's first Artie Nomination for Best Ensemble). These two productions brought notoriety to the upstart company and established ART/WNY's reputation for producing thought-provoking, unknown or rarely done works that tell the American story.

2019 Kenny Awards Finalists Announced

The Kenny Awards has announced its 10 program finalists for the 2018-2019 school year. The Kenny Awards, presented by Shea's Performing Arts Center and The Lipke Foundation, is an endeavor that recognizes the talent, dedication, and efforts of our local high school youth in musical theatre. The Lipke Foundation recently announced that it is doubling its grant to $10,000 for the WNY area high school that receives the Outstanding Musical Production award.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce its first production of its 2018/19 season in its new home at 456 Main Street! The 2018/19 season will open October 26th with Tony Award-nominated Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet starring Matt Witten, Kevin Kennedy and Laura Barrierie under the direction of RLTP Artistic Director Scott Behrend. The production team includes Dyan Burlingame (set design), John Rickus (light design), Maura A. Simmonds-Price (costume design/props), and Katie Menke (sound design).

The American Repertory Theater of WNY presents the second production of the 2018-19 season with American playwright Sam Shepard's classic work, FOOL FOR LOVE. Shea's Performing Arts Center announced today that The Lipke Foundation will double its Kenny Awards grant to $10,000 for the WNY area high school that wins Outstanding Musical Production at next year's ceremony. The 26th annual Kenny Awards will take place Saturday, May 11 at Shea's Buffalo Theatre and will continue the legacy of recognizing and promoting high school theatre programs.
