Tragi-comedy .
Set in a touring theater company during the British Blitz of WWII, Ronald Harwood’s play follows an aging, deteriorating actor-manager known simply as "Sir" as he struggles to perform King Lear for the 227th time.
Amidst falling bombs and Sir's crumbling mental health, his loyal and waspish dresser, Norman, works tirelessly backstage to keep the production from collapsing.
The drama explores the intense,co-dependent relationship between the two men, ultimately serving as a poignant elegy to the "the show must go on" era of provincial theater.
