Dratch is on someone else's prescription drug that makes her loopy, right? Am I misremembering? Whatever it is I'm sure it's nothing your son hasn't heard of unless you shelter him to the extreme; the language might be a bigger factor if you don't want him hearing the C-word a lot (but again, he's probably heard it).

She takes a bunch of what she thinks are Tums, but they're some unspecified drug, which I assumed was either marijuana or a hallucinogen. If they said what it was, I missed it, but, regardless, it's not explicit.

Saw the show last night. Thought it was fine; I didn't laugh out loud much, but I did find it superficially entertaining. Cast was great.
Question for those who have seen it:
I won't spoil the circumstances for those who haven't seen it, but there is a scene where Julie White puts on a rubber glove. Last night, the glove began to rip, and White leaned it it by continuing to rip the glove more and more, until it was missing several fingers and had massive holes in it. Was this pre-planned, or spur-of-the-moment?

This happened at yesterday’s matinee as well.
I absolutely loved this play! Hilarious! Julie White in particular was letter-perfect.

I can't believe how much has changed in our world since I saw this show just a few weeks ago. I think I may need to revisit it. Heartbroken and in need of laughter with a side of empowerment.

She got applause as she was being seated and then got an erupted standing ovation from the audience during the Lilli/Vanessa interview scene where Lilli asked (after rattling off her accomplishments), “Why aren’t you president?” It lasted for a good 90 seconds and the play continued.
She also greeted and took pictures with patrons at intermission and was such a sweetheart to everyone.

Obviously i won’t be seeing it while Clinton is in the audience but you have just convinced me that I need to see this show again before next month

It’s definitely more cohesive and I think the farce element has only sharpened, to a point where seeing anyone break, even slightly, is cause for the audience to laugh and applaud.
Even with the theatre half full, you wouldn’t know based on the audience response and quite literally everyone looks like they are having the time of their lives

I saw the show last weekend and thought it was absolutely hilarious! I can't remember laughing that hard in a long time. Of course the plot is ridiculous and you can't look too hard at it, but that's not the point. The physical comedy and comedic timing of all 7 women is just perfect. I couldn't even pick who I liked best, though I would probably go with Rachel Dratch and Suzy Nakamura. And Lea Delaria. But they are all perfect. I can understand why this wouldn't be some people's cup of tea, but man did I have a great time.

Just saw an advertisement that POTUS must end August 14. Has there been an official closing announcement?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's definitely PERFECT for Regional Theatres, but I'm also curious if they could end up launching a tour for it. It never really took off on Broadway, but I definitely think it had a lot more of a commercial audience than your typical play has. I wonder if it could work.

I have been thinking since they announced closing that it would do well on tour, if given the right names. Honestly wouldn’t be hard to make this an even better touring production than Broadway.
I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.
