So all those rumors turned out to be true ... I’m excited!
But I do think they need to make a couple changes..
1) The choreography needs to be redone. At some point I was cringing because it was so awkward (Smartphone Hour)
2) I think the ensemble is miscast. I’m not saying go out and cast 17-year-olds, But a lot of these people do read as a lot older.

Considering the lack of original scores on Broadway this year, it's a good choice for them. That being said, I just don't understand the immense love for this show, but to each their own. It obviously has a large fan-base. We'll see if it works. Worth noting that [TITLE OF SHOW] took the same theatre for their transfer...

If Joe Iconis has much to do with casting, don't expect many changes to be made. He is the most loyal person I've ever met. (Doesn't mean they might not add people, of course.)

100% saw this coming honestly. How could producers let go a cult following? I didn't heard even of the show until last year, thanks to Tumblr. Excited to finally see this show

I see a lot of the principals posting their (deserved) excitement on Instagram, and it looks like most of them will be transferring with the production (Will, George, Kaitlyn). I wonder if they'll add people, maybe not though. Dear Evan Hansen also has a small cast and it's worked well for it. While the show has gotten some flack here and there, I truly did enjoy it and am glad it's getting its chance to shine on Broadway!

Kudos to them! I, too, enjoyed the show when I saw it off-bway. Will Roland certainly shines in this show and has a meatier role than the one he had in DEH.
The Lyceum is also a smaller theater compared to other Bway theaters (from what I read on wikipedia its seating capacity is 922) so it's quite likely a lot of performances will sell out.

Got a ticket for March in the cheap seats of the Lyceum, but at the current prices, they're going to royally screw out their fanbase with the pricing. The cheapest are $49 for the last two rows of the balcony (which goes up to $110), with the whole orchestra being $169

Does Lyceum have SRO? If they do, the cheapest tickets may be SRO.

Not surprising, and in a fairly thin season it'll pick up some nominations, but I do have my doubts about how well it can translate cult fandom into mainstream success.

That is an ensemble. This isn't a show (and one with a ten-person cast) that needs a chorus.

The rush/lotto for this will be insane. Just don't see its fans paying $150+ to see this. Thinking it's main reason for the transfer is for the Tony Awards and licensing.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I mean- no shade or tea towards the cast but once the cult (which imo, has been dying out as of late) has seen the show, other than newcomers, repeats and the industry, who will be seeing the show?
At least I have the pride of saying our predictions thus far have been correct. Now, how will they manage the stagedoor (which will be crazier than Hansen, no doubt)

I’m shocked to see how many people are confused as to whether or not this will hit. Dear Evan Hansen hit, Come From Away hit, why not this. If it sells out the first few months, people will take that as a sign they must get their tickets. I think this show’s profitability is very good and since it seems like a low budget production, it could do very well.
