I know she has some new Netflix show that is in pre production but I’m sure she could have gotten the time off to attend opening night if she wanted. I actually wasn’t aware she was a part of the production team.
I don’t disagree with Alan Henry’s tweet honestly. I do think the theatre community of critics needs to diversify. That doesn’t mean those people will like every musical or play that is aimed at their demographic but full stop they’d treat their review with more care than cis het white men. Even if a transgender critic didn’t like HOH I know for a fact they wouldn’t have made the comments that Brantley apologized for today. That’s pretty much a fact.<

It started with the op-ed pages, then drifted to some of the feature writing, and now is really hitting the arts and critics hard. The news desk has been mostly insulated, but I'm worried that whoever is setting the editorial direction at theTimes just doesn't know what their audience wants anymore."
I’d pay to see the show. I’d go see it tomorrow if I lived closer to the city. There are genuine people who really liked this piece and want to support it just as there are for every show.

Maybe because LMM doesnt relate to an emotionally manipulative cliche tale of teenage social anxiety, but to a real story of a man struggling to balance the realitiesof life and lack of success with his passion and desiret
I don’t have a problem with it, I mean it’s not my time or money so. I’ve seen dear Evan Hansen like 6 times (granted I’ve never rushed it or anything just bought tickets) everyone has that show that they love and I think it’s cute! Honestly if I lived closer to NY there are serval shows I’d rush a lot
I’ve seen multiple shows and gotten my tickets from stub hub and I’ve never once been denied entry. I bought tickets for ben platt’s last show through them and they were in fact legit. You don’t have to worry no one I’ve ever gone to shows with has had a problem.
