I loved the show on Saturday so so much and I'm glad that I saw it again in the evening beause I caught more. It is much more positive and hopeful than all of the adaptions that I have seen. I really loved the twists and the changes that they made (Spoilers) and they take great liberty in the adaption. But, I thought Act 2 was somewhat clunky with how long the Christmas scene were and then pulling a unneccesary twist to it.
Unfortunately, I don't feel the same way as everyone else. I saw it today with my friend and we walked out during the Gus song. I found the movie to be more dull, boring, and slow than a bizarre acid trip. I'll finish the rest when it comes out on Netflix/YouTube

How lucky we are to have the brilliance of Ethan Slater and Gavin Lee’s performances, Tina Landau’s direction and David Zinn’s scenic design all preserved. With Tom Kenny as Patchy to boot!
I only got from Chop to the Top because I was with my family. Can’t wait to watch the whole thing again.

Would Tina Fey be affected by this though? It shouldn’t be really her problem since she’s just the writer and not focusing on the Broadway production rn.

Wow, that's extremely interesting!
And also thanks to everyone else! I'll do research for the plays tomorrow. And yeah, I thought Cummingham can be perceived as an autistic character, depending on the actor!

Planning on seeing this next year, going to see this for Adrienne! She’s amazing in the footage. Just wish her Oliver-winning co-star transferred with her
