Awwww, I love HONK. I did it twice. It's just so much fun to do.
As much as I would love to see it on Broadway, I don't think there is a real audience for it. It's "The Ugly Duckling" on Broadway, not a worldwide appeal or a brand name like Disney, Shrek, or even Seussical and YWTAF. The time to hype it up with "HONK beat Lion King & Mamma Mia for Best Musical" has pass. It had its chance to be successful on Broadway in the early 2000s, but

What precisely was wrong with the book? The writer is the screenwriter of the movie, so I’m confused how he can mess up his own movie.
^And I barely remember Hercules singing "Wait for Me" to Meg. Where was that?
Also, something I just remembered. Freaky Friday didn't even get Pre-Broadway tryouts and it still got a cast album. If Freaky Friday, a show made for licensing got one, so could Hercules, a Off-Broadway musical.
Scott is 100% learning from his productions. There's going to be a real set, unlike his other productions, and I'm already emotional looking at it. Breathtaking!
The key changes (especially for Zero to Hero) was a little distracting, but it works way better here than in Hunchback where the low keys took away the songs' gravitas.
Funny thing: Like I said in the other board, my friend knows someone from Disney and they are in fact considering it, but are concerned about their three shows.

Yeah, according to my source, that’s one of the main concerns right now. They would have to close Aladdin or Frozen to open this.
So I’m aware that Hercules is being produced by Public Theatre with little involvement from Disney. But I still do count it as a Disney show because I’m assuming Disney did the book and the development of the show. And of course, Disney is going to be in charge of the licensing. So to me, it is technically a Disney show.
I loved the hell out of this show! I haven’t smiled this hard and had so much fun since Spongebob. It is defientely campy, but the style act
I think everyone looks great for the most part. Not impressed by Meg’s costume looking cheap. But this is Disney’s first attempt in doing Hercules, so it’s not bad for this.

Here’s hoping they’ll pull a Hunchback and give us a cast album

I wouldn't be surprised if the producers made her do the Miranda voice. Like what among other said, Colleen should have been Jenna, especially if producers are desperate for big names.
